Neiman Marcus Shares Holiday Cheer with Big Brothers Big Sisters
In-store promotion gives $50 retailer gift card in exchange for $25 donation to local Big Brothers Big Sisters

DALLAS, Dec. 7, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Neiman Marcus customers will enjoy the opportunity to support Big Brothers Big Sisters in stores this week.  From December 7 to December 10, shoppers who donate $25 to their local Big Brothers Big Sisters agency will receive a $50 Neiman Marcus gift card.

"We understand how important giving back is, especially as we head into the holiday season," said Michael Crotty, SVP Marketing Neiman Marcus Group Services. "Big Brothers Big Sisters is an amazing organization that is changing the landscape of our local communities by helping kids beat the odds. Neiman Marcus is thrilled to support their cause."

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the nation's largest donor-supported network of volunteer mentors.  Donations make it possible for the organization to carefully match volunteers ("Bigs") with children in the program ("Littles") and provide on-going support to them and their families. Big Brothers Big Sisters has been making "Big" and "Little" matches throughout the country for more than 100 years.

"Support from Neiman Marcus and its generous customers allows Big Brothers Big Sisters to carefully make more mentoring matches and provide ongoing assistance for mentors, mentees and families to help sustain long successful relationships," said Karen J. Mathis, president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.  "With support from donors, we are able to expand our reach and hold ourselves accountable for specific youth outcomes focused on educational achievement; avoidance of risky behaviors, violence and juvenile delinquency; and higher self-esteem, confidence and the ability to relate to others."

Throughout the duration of the event, Neiman Marcus customers will be given the opportunity in stores at the point of purchase to make a charitable contribution to Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Proceeds raised by the promotion will support Big Brothers Big Sisters' programs and agencies in the local communities of the 41 Neiman Marcus stores located in corresponding markets.

The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. operations include the Specialty Retail Stores segment and the Direct Marketing segment. The Specialty Retail stores segment consists primarily of Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman stores. The Direct Marketing segment conducts both online and print catalog operations under the Neiman Marcus, Horchow and Bergdorf Goodman brand names. For more information, visit neimanmarcusgroup.com.
