Neiman Marcus Group Goes Fur-Free as Part of Its Forthcoming ESG Strategy
Animal Welfare Policy is supported by the Humane Society of the United States

DALLAS, June 30, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Neiman Marcus Group ("NMG" or the "Company") has committed to the elimination of products containing animal fur from its assortment by early 2023. This Animal Welfare Policy applies to all NMG brands, including Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. NMG will also close its existing fur salons.

The change follows the Company's recent announcement that it has created a dedicated team to identify, improve, and disclose performance on material Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) issues across its business, including topics like animal welfare. The Company's forthcoming ESG strategy is expected to place a strong emphasis on its ability to bring ultimate luxury to life, partly through a curation of sustainable and ethical products.

The Company worked with the Humane Society of the United States on its commitment to exit fur and drafted an Animal Welfare Policy that aligns with the Fur Free Alliance guidelines.
